Reframing Complex Issues

We used this stop-motion explainer as a behavior-shifting tool, not just an educational one. When people don’t understand how unemployment statistics are created, they tend to mistrust or misinterpret them. The video was designed to interrupt that pattern by making the process transparent, visual, and easy to grasp—without jargon or oversimplification.

While it was accessible to the general public, the primary audience was journalists, bloggers, and content creators. By giving them a clear, credible reference they could quickly understand and confidently share, we influenced how the data was explained, cited, and discussed in the media. The result was a piece that balanced accuracy with creativity, stood out visually, and was widely shared by major news outlets—helping shift coverage from confusion to clarity.
