Workers Where They Work
There’s no substitute for capturing people in the environments where they do their jobs. As a Director of Creative Services, that means planning for much more than just composition—it means respecting the space, the people, and the purpose of the work.
This shoot took place in an active mine, which required careful coordination around safety protocols, PPE purchases, and the unique lighting challenges of working underground. Just as important was building trust with workers who aren’t used to having a camera in their face. The goal wasn’t to stage anything—it was to document real moments with honesty and respect.
When done right, these images do more than fill a photo library—they elevate the people behind the work and show the heart of an organization.
